home working to customers
- Huntingdon-based IT services provider expands home
working and communications offering for customers
- ISC deploys more bandwidth as it prepare for
growth
- Business continuity takes away IT fears for local
firms
4 September, 2007. Managed services provider
ISC Networks has chosen ntl:Telewest Business, part of the Virgin
Media group, to enhance the company’s IT services offering to its
growing number of customers. ntl:Telewest Business has provisioned
increased internet connectivity to enable ISC Networks to cater for
the demand for data capacity.
Huntingdon-based ISC Networks has over 1,000
customers across the UK and Ireland and offers a wide range of IT
services, which means it must be ahead of the competition by
deploying the best modern communications technology to ensure a
smooth, resilient and flexible service.
ISC Networks is deploying ntl:Telewest
Business’ internet protocol virtual private network (IPVPN)
technology, enabling its customers to access corporate data
securely from anywhere in the world. This allows companies to
engage in remote working and increase efficiency.
With business continuity becoming an
increasingly popular option for organisations, ISC Networks
required higher bandwidth to support its purpose built state of the
art Hosting Centre . The deployment of ntl:Telewest Business’
National Ethernet technology will also make services more resilient
and easier to manage.
“For many companies of all sizes, the
challenge is how to deploy the best technology with expert support
in a secure environment. Many lack the IT skills and the budget to
handle the more demanding aspects of IT and that’s where
specialists like ISC come in,” said Lawrence Pledger, Business
Development Manager for ISC Networks. “Being able to offer
our customers more choice – from flexible broadband to disaster
recovery services – means we continue to better serve them and
further improve our competitive edge in a crowded market.”
Gerry Arthurs, regional sales manager for
ntl:Telewest Business in the South East, said; “In modern business
network speed and reliability of delivery can make the difference
between success and failure. All the elements that ISC Networks
offers – disaster recovery, faster and more efficient
communications, remote working tools and storage capabilities – are
critical to business success.“
