2008 ntl:Telewest National Three Peaks Challenge
This is the official web site dedicated to the ntl:Telewest
Business, National Three Peaks Challenge 2008.
Following the company’s very successful NTP 24Hr challenge in
September 2007 there have been numerous requests to run a similar
event in 2008, primarily to raise money for charity but also to
enjoy the challenges of mountain walking, promote team building and
support the company’s ‘Wellbeing Programme’, whilst having some
fun!
This site should provide you with all the information necessary to
start planning your team entry and training programmes. It will be
updated regularly as more information and details are available and
during the 24Hr event a live web diary will be run on this site to
give family, friends and sponsors up to date details on event
progress.
We are very lucky this year to have been offered the loan of
professional radio equipment from ICOM UK. Each team will therefore
be provided with a two way radio to ensure contact on every
mountain at all times with the coordinating Control Points and
Marshals. The CPs will also be in communication with a
central control room team at Hook. This team will update the web
site diary frequently and provide centrally based coordination with
emergency services if required. Comprehensive planning and
safety precautions must be of paramount focus to the success of
this event by all participating.
